WEINGARTEN WARNING

The minute you receive an invitation from a member of management to a one-on-one meeting, NTEU Chapter 224 strongly advises that you immediately ask the manager if you have a right to union representation. If the answer is yes, this is a Weingarten meeting and it could lead to discipline. Management does not always identify these meetings as "Weingarten," but instead might use the word "investigative" or nothing at all. This can lull an employee into a false sense of security. Always ask if you have a right to union representation. If you receive this kind of invitation, and you have a right to union representation, send an email to Intake asap for an immediate representative assignment.

NTEU National continues to send email to dues paying members at their personal email addresses. To receive messages from NTEU National, you must be a dues payer and you must update your contact information via NTEU.org.
